- Felix is chatting happily with a young woman with platinum blond hair (Mira). Their surroundings seem to suggest an upper middle class home with the occasional picture of the pair adorning the walls. Their conversation is trivial, something about shopping, but it turns heavier when Mira comments on how she never gets to spend time with Felix because things keep interfering. Felix makes responds with a none too friend, "Things? You mean people."

- Mira manages to salvage the conversation and things return to their previous state until Mira goes to put away her shopping. A scream for her sends Felix rushing into another room to find it destroyed, as if a wild animal had ripped through it. Felix immediately worries about Nikki, who's not around. His reaction grows increasingly frantic as they search for the other until eventually Mira offers to go check their usual haunts around town. Though Felix wants to go with her, Mira has him stay unless Nikki shows up.

- When Felix returns to the inside, he's shocked to find a young man (Nikki) in the living room. He snaps at him for scaring him and Nikki reacts with indifference, revealing that they had been in the middle of an ongoing tiff. Nikki admits that he had made the mess in the other room when he was looking for something. As Felix tries to figure out what Nikki was so anxious to find, Nikki asks him where Mira is, and Felix says she's out looking for him. Though Felix suggests calling her to explain everything's all right, Nikki tells him to wait until they have their talk, something about an argument the previous night.

- Felix loses his temper early in the conversation and snaps at Nikki for being so vague and untruthful with him. Nikki looks hurt when he remarks that he also hates dishonesty. Confused and wanting to reassure his partner, Felix reaches out to him only to Nikki bring him closer.

- What seems to be an effort at reconciliation soon reveals itself to be the opening to a full out fight, where a confused Felix gets thrown around until he tackles Nikki and they start violently sparring. Neither seems to be actually trying to hurt the other until Nikki dislocates Felix's shoulder in frustration and drags him outside to continue their fight.

- Things get much more vicious, as Felix pleads for an explanation, while the two fling magic attacks at each other with their swords in between actual clashing of blades. They're both taking on various shares of damage. Amid the fight, Nikki begins accusing Felix of lying to him, screaming that he trusted him, he cared about him. When Felix attempts to reason with him using his name, Nikki snaps at him not to call him that and declares they're not friends.

- Eventually Nikki gets the upper hand due to Felix's bad shoulder and his emotional state. He holds a switchblade to Felix's throat, which causes Felix to go into total mania. But Felix can't manage to break free and keeps pleading with his partner. The other calls him a demon but drops the switchblade for some reason. He calls Felix a monster pretending to be human. He accuses Felix of lying to him to get close to the people they're sworn to protect. Felix denies it but admits he is a demon. Nikki loses it completely, revealing that he had believed that Felix truly loved him and screaming that he should have killed Felix before. Cue punching blows from both of them. Felix furiously accuses Nikki of never listening and attacks Nikki until Nikki almost breaks his wrist.

- Nikki uses Felix's pain to try to slit his throat but panics at Felix's hysterical scream and throws the switchblade far away from them both. As a now shocked and semi-psychotic Felix taunts Nikki for being unable to kill him, Nikki seems to go into his own shock and stumbles away from Felix. But Felix's next comment that Nikki isn't human either, that he's a fucking wolf, seems to give Nikki a new plan as he immediately transforms into a massive black wolf.

- Felix tries to fend off the wolf with the switchblade before dropping it in fear of killing Nikki. He insists he doesn't want to fight him like this. He points out that Nikki had been unable to kill him with the knife. This only makes Nikki angrier and he manages to pin Felix to the ground as the wolf. But Felix has also managed to recover the switchblade in the scuffle, although he continues to not use it, declaring that he won't hurt Nikki. When he tells Nikki that killing him would be like killing every part of himself that matters, Nikki counters that Felix is nothing to him. Felix drops the knife and tells him Nikki he doesn't care what he does anymore. This seems to both confuse and unsettle Nikki, even as he insists that he will kill Felix. Eventually the affirmations become weaker and Nikki releases him with a howl of anguish, as his transformation melts away.

- Everything suddenly goes bright red, as Felix loses consciousness.

- When he comes to, he sees himself ready to strike at the throat of a heavily battered and bleeding Nikki with his claws. His other claws are driven deep into Nikki's hand, preventing him from defending himself in anyway. Felix immediately fights for control of his body, as Fatalis screeches at him that he's out of his mind, that Nikki almost killed them, that he's just as wicked as anyone who's ever hurt them. They fight over something called Rapture, with Felix saying Rapture is in control, not Fatalis. And the fight seems to make Fatalis retreat with an enraged scream.

- Felix promises that Fatalis won't hurt Nikki anymore, as Nikki stares at him in shock, only managing to utter a faint "Why?"
